Bol Impression<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone knows Golden Horn or Zlatni rat<\/strong>, which is the most famous and most photographed beach in Croatia. This beach was the destination of my trip during my stay in Split. Everyone who has seen photos of her probably wants to see if it is really so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is not a problem to get here by catamaran from Split. Zlatni rat is located about 2 km on foot from the town of Bol on the island of Bra\u010d<\/strong>. In Croatia, this location is considered a celebrity resort, which is reflected in the prices. The catamaran drove with us for about an hour before we arrived at the small jetty in Bol. It was located on the opposite side of the island, so we had to swim all the way around it, which gave us a closer idea of \u200b\u200bthe character of the whole island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was surprised by the size of this town. It is rather a long promenade stretching from the pier to the Golden Horn. However, the cleanliness of the sea here was much higher than in Split<\/a>. Bol is a quiet little town<\/strong>that probably is empty in the off-season. It consists of a few villas, many restaurants, hotels and beaches.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The promenade winds along the sea from the port. There are no beaches with direct access here, but rather larger stones. We followed the crowd of tourists along this promenade lined with stalls. Basically, we left the town very quickly, followed by a pine grove with hotels. The grove stretches all the way to Zlatni Rat. Cicadas were chirping on the pine trees. The crowd grew closer to the horn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The road offered us a few places for a little rest in the form of a bench with a beautiful view of the sea. It was quite windy here, so we didn't feel the heat that much. After about 45 minutes from getting off the catamaran and walking constantly, the boardwalk turned to the left and began to descend until we came to the end of it, which was white pebbles, lots of people, sunbeds. However, the wind speed increased significantly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Golden Horn - Zlatni rat<\/strong> is quite wide and until you get to the tip, you won't even realize you are on a cape. Wading through a lot of tourists and along a beach full of pebbles, in which you can sink a lot, was not so easy. We didn't even see the other side of the tip at first. After a few meters, the beach began to narrow and only then did we understand what Zlatni rat is. The pebbles from which it is made move and move with the force of sea water currents. So Zlatni rat is never the same<\/strong>A fact that people don't even realize is that you really enjoy its beauty the most from above. When you're right on top of it, it's not such a fascinating experience.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wind is also an important aspect to think about. Since this cape is basically all pushed out into the sea, you cannot avoid strong winds here. This can be pleasant on hot summer days, but it also causes a lower water temperature and more difficult access to the sea.<\/strong>Depending on the movement of currents, the water here is quite deep or its depth changes quickly, which is something to think about especially if you have children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Very nice and pleasant beaches can also be found right where the coast rises to the cape.<\/strong>The sea under the cliffs created really beautiful scenery, which is also less windy. You can also find a few buffets on the Zlatni rate and there is a great restaurant in the middle of the pine forest. You definitely won't regret it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We set off on our way back much earlier than the scheduled departure of the catamaran. Our reason was mainly to enjoy the views, refresh yourself in the sea or in a beach bar and spend some of the money to buy something small as a souvenir. We had some time to explore. It was also on the opposite side. I would characterize this place as a small village with a peaceful rhythm of life even in the summer.<\/strong> It is primarily aimed at bathing eager tourists, who fill up local restaurants and bars in the evenings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Such a lucrative destination is really equipped with everything for holiday fun. However, for more active individuals, it is probably more suitable only as a one-day stop on the road. Apart from the world-famous attraction, there are not many other options for activities here. Bol fits nicely into the concept of a vacation, during which you want to enjoy the sea as much as possible during the day and either relax abundantly at night, which is also helped by the intimate atmosphere of the hotel complexes, or have fun with friends until the morning hours in some establishment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is also an excellent alternative for families with children who expect to spend most of their time on the beach. However, do not rely on the wide range of trips to the area. For more culture and history, you'll have to board a catamaran and visit Split.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wonder how Bol looked 100 years ago. I think it was just a small, forgotten village that didn't make anything out of the changing beach, which is why it has preserved its picturesque character even today. This small magical pearl, which glitters on the waters of the turquoise Adriatic,<\/strong>adorns the island of Bra\u010d. Bol bears the stamp of a resort, which is also reflected in the prices, for celebrities, and maybe because of that someone will feel less comfortable. For them, one-day trips are ideal, of which there are plenty from the surrounding resorts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, it would be a sin if you did not take a look at the most beautiful beach in Croatia, if you are near it. At least once in your life, you should walk along the Golden Horn<\/strong>, taste how the sun burns and the wind howls, immerse yourself in the cool turquoise waves that wash over it.<\/strong>After a whole day, you will probably have a headache from the constant blowing of the wind, but at least once you have to stand on this cape, on its tip, and experience the feeling that you are standing on the most famous beach in the country. It is a small paradise on earth and thank God we still have the opportunity to visit it and it is not miles away from us. So let's take the chance and enjoy at least a few moments in this earthly paradise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
