Veneto Impression
Veneto - region in the northern part of Italy with capital Venezia or Venice, about 700 km from Slovakia. The whole area is lowland with many picturesque villaggi1 and smaller towns surrounded by fields. You can get there easily by autostrada2 even if it is outside 40 and the AC in the car is no longer working, it is not pleasant. Surely you will be cooled by looking at uscita3 Caorle, Bibione, Lignano, Jesolo idea that you are no longer far from the desired sea.
If you are interested in Tivat, have any questions or you want to share your experience, you can find us also here.
We chose the last one - Lido di Jesolo a resort bordered by the Sile river on one side and the Piave river on the other. Lido like all lido is full of hotels and attractions for
tourists. After previous experience in Italy, we chose a hotel with its own beach and deck chairs, which was an ideal choice. The three-star very nice medium-sized hotel right on the street, which after 20 hours turned into a promenade, met all our expectations. The friendly receptionist, with the philosophy of “Non c´è problema“4 was willing to help us with all our questions.
The food was excellent (although sfilatte di cavallo5 never again), room nicely furnished, ideal location, private parking, own beach distant from the hotel about 50 meters, in front of the hotel a small summer amphitheater, where there was a program every evening. So we watched Miss Jesolo and some concerts. To my astonishment again the legendary caos italiano6 demonstrating everywhere in the form of disorientingly moving touristss and wherever left cars, a receptionist who organizes a group of people who speak no language in a totally unorganized manner and working also in restaurant. At least it seems to the tourist that things work there and everyone is happy.
But another Hungarian-born receptionist, who went to work as she wanted, complained about this chaos. However, it will not be so good and the sentence “Non c´è problema” could be changed.
Lido di Jesolo is a place full of live. During the day it is a typical resort. On the street you meet tourists in swimsuits from around the world, street vendors, locals with their dogs, cars, bicycles and everything else you can ride.
This ordinary resort turns into a stage of life overnight. In every corner different music, restaurants wide open shops welcome curious tourists. You are standing for an hour at Tutto gelatto and then you can't quickly choose from about 50 varieties of ice cream, because you would taste all of them. You can buy souvenirs here. Who likes to dance can find many discos here. Trenino8 is pushed between pedestrians or bikes, scooters blasting at you.Carousels aquapark, exhibitions on the street and in galleries are also found here.Every night you watch this show with wide open eyes and mouth, and you still don't have enough. This is the clear proof that Italy is noisy, lively and full of life.
The sea that inhabits this area is the old well-known Mar Adriatico, a popular Adriatic sea. Unlike Croatia, there are sandy beaches and shells in the sea. A place ideal for non-swimmers and children. There are hardly any waves. Here you can rent pedalina9 or choose from the offer of attractions at sea. Refreshments and ice cream stalls are on every step.
About 10 minutes by car from the coast is the town of Jesolo. It is much quieter than his people. Picturesque little houses, in the middle of town the Sile river, every Friday mercato.10 Unfortunately, also to this market salesmen from Asia and Africa have already penetrated and the quality of goods is no longer so good.
Neither Jesolo nor Treviso very similar to Jesolo will be disturbed by the tourist season. There are some sights in the center of Treviso, but the question “Avete la pianta della città?“11 looked at me at the newsagent as if I was asking a plastic explosive. So I understand that a lot of tourists don't come here. But I recommend to visit it, it is very nice and such true Italian town with few tourists.
However, the whole region with its beautiful corners and ideal conditions for agroturismo overshadows Serenissima12 . Like Dubrovnik is the pearl of the Adriatic, Venice is a jewel of the whole Mediterranean. Opinions on this place vary. Some are enthusiastic about it, others may criticize it a little. There is no other place on earth to match Venice.
It still sucked in the grandeur and pomp of the Venetian families and doges at any time and the weather you visit. It's always there. You can find out its monuments anywhere - the descriptions of Venice are full of books and the internet. You need to visit it just to make your opinion and expand one of its fan or opponents groups.
I certainly do recommend Venice for holidaymakers who like the sun, the sea, the riviera with life, but also the history of Venice (but also other cities like Verona and Padua). You can navigate across Laguna Veneta and visit the surrounding islands.
Another group I recommend this region to are lovers of agritourism. You will find a lot of accommodation offering such services. Although I have no personal experience, but according to the appearance of some estates, I dare say that you will certainly not regret it. The Italians are very kind and will gladly take care of your satisfaction throughout your stay. From a holiday full of Italian chaos and temperament, thanks to their kindness and positivism, you will surely return to rest and relaxation.
